Survival is the key to the Alligator’s message. His strength and protective nature ensure future generations of his kind. Within is Jaguar , who swims and hunts in the waters of our dreams reminding us to have purpose in life, even in times of darkness. The Turtle swims upstream in the Sea Lettuce, with a school of fish. See Ladybug who lets us know happiness and good luck are in sight! There are two species of Alligator~ American and Chinese. They were nearly hunted to extinction when it became "fashionable" to wear their hides. Thanks to current controls, the Alligator is no longer an endangered species, however its relative, the American Crocodile is threatened. Because of their similarities, both are legally listed as species of concern
